ABOUT UNITED GENERATIONS
United Generations e.V. (UG) is a registered non-profit organization, promoting and organizing Intergenerational Programs (IP). Established in August 2008 by a small group of volunteers, the young social venture quickly attracted additional members and volunteers. In one year it has grown to over 100 members.
Although UG is registered in Germany, our members are from all over the world since day one. At present, our 130+ members are based in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Through August 2010, UG designed and implemented 12 innovative IPs. In over 80 engaging and well prepared sessions, young and old experienced valuable personal encounters. Sessions last from two hours long to a full day and even overnight.
All these activities were carried out by our members, who all voluntary dedicate their free time. Also aspects of UG including our design, our website, infrastructure, registration, brand, marketing materials, IT, and reports are done by volunteering members.
Our members determine how they can best balance their time contributions with UG and other commitments. Volunteers often participate in UG activities over the weekend and after work.
UG is financed solely through individual donations an corporate sponsorships.
An important part of our work is to spread the word about UG! We recognize that our societies face unprecedented challenges. We can only succeed, if we inspire more people, volunteers, members and partners to join our growing movement.
